Connecting the young, Connecting to the Future Chairperson of PNC on ISAD launches the Youth ISAD Programme The second issue of e-Mzanzi is dedicated to the South African youth both as a recognition of the youth month but also as an acknowledgement of their commitment to taking the country to an Information Society as articulated in the Youth ISAD Programme. After months of consultation and engagement the Youth ISAD Programme will be launched on the 15th June 2007 during the Youth Festival to be held in Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape Province. The launch came at the back drop of the approval of the national ISAD Plan which articulates the Information Society vision for the country as “To establish South Africa as an advanced Information Society in which ICT tools and Information are key drivers of economic and societal development |

| | In the implementation of the national ISAD plan the youth sector was prioritized both to assist our youth in meeting the development challenges that they inherit, and to create a catalyst that will support our socio-economic development. Ms Lyndall Shope-Mafole the Chairperson of PNC on ISAD launches the Youth ISAD Programme together with three projects targeted at youth, namely, e-Cooperatives, e-Literacy and the National Digital Repository.
